Letter Writing Competition

Chartwells is pleased to announce the first year of an exciting project.  We invite entries for our schools' competition to celebrate the dying art of letter writing.

Theme

Students are invited to write a letter on an aspect of food that inspires them. Possible themes might be:

• something that they really enjoy eating
• recalling a meal that made a big impression on them
• why food is important for education
• the influences of culture on food
• why they prefer home cooked food
• why they enjoy food technology lessons or a particular lesson
• an environmental or ethical issue concerning the production of food.
   

The addressee of the letter is the student's choice.

They could write to a celebrity, a family member, a politician or another person of significance.
